Alimentaria celebrated its 50th anniversary from 23 to 26 March 2026 in Barcelona. This special edition brought together HoReCa professionals from around the world. The co-located Hostelco, which focuses on equipment for the hospitality and catering sectors, merged with Alimentaria to form Alimentaria + Hostelco, creating a unified platform for the food, beverage, and gastronomy industries.
Occupying approximately 100,000 square metres at Fira Barcelona - Gran Via, the event featured over 3,300 companies showcasing their products across the entire retail and foodservice value chain. More than 110,000 professionals attended, seeking new suppliers, connecting with existing partners, and exploring the latest trends and developments that could impact their businesses.
The programme included a variety of activities such as seminars, conferences, congresses, award ceremonies, and presentations. Key topics covered included nutrition, health, F&B innovations, sustainability, and globalisation. The Coffee Stage highlighted new approaches to enhancing customers’ coffee experiences, while the Bakery & Pastry Hub showcased advanced technologies and innovative methods in the bakery, pastry, ice cream, and chocolate sectors. Additionally, the Food & Hospitality Start-ups segment promoted emerging companies.
