About this Edition
In 2026, the globally renowned IASP World Congress on Pain will take place in Bangkok, Thailand. This significant event will welcome approximately 100 exhibiting companies and 5,000 scientists from around the world at the Bangkok International Trade & Exhibition Centre (BITEC).
The International Association for the Study of Pain will host the congress, supported by regional organizations. A two-day program of pre-congress events is scheduled. On 25 October, attendees can participate in Painhack: Day One and the Chinese Association for the Study of Pain Symposium: Sensation, Perception, Cognition, and Management. The following day, 26 October, will feature Painhack: Day 2, along with SIG symposia and hands-on workshops. The main congress will commence with an evening reception on 26 October and conclude on 30 October.
During the event, various aspects of pain perception, chronification, mechanisms, and therapies will be explored. Topics will include pain education, ethical science, self-management, multidisciplinary care, neuro-immunity, and gender- and age-specific pathways, among others.
