The Marché du Film, a premier event in the film industry, took place in Cannes from 17th to 25th May 2022. This gathering at the Palais des Festivals et des Congres welcomed over 12,500 professionals from the cinema sector, fostering growth and innovation within the industry.

Since its inception in 1959, alongside the renowned Cannes Film Festival, Marché du Film has played a pivotal role in shaping the film industry. The event has evolved to include 33 screening venues, where producers, distributors, sales agents, buyers, and festival representatives come together to establish connections and negotiate deals.

During the event, attendees experienced an array of over 200 supporting programs, such as project showcases, works-in-progress, and genre-specific pitching sessions at Frontiers. Thematic speed meetings, workshops, and social evening events contributed to the dynamic and productive atmosphere of the fair.

Throughout the show, the Village International offered a global perspective, presenting over 80 country representatives. The Producers Network provided a platform for those with international co-productions to find the necessary connections and resources to complete their projects. Attendees also had the opportunity to engage with numerous events at Cannes Docs and Cannes XR, further enriching their experience.
